Tucson

Did you know that Tucson has become a top travel destination for golfers? I mean, it makes sense with our predominately sunny skies and rain-free weather — and we’re lucky enough to have not one but two championship golf courses available for guests and locals at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort! Here a few fun facts about our most popular outdoor amenity.

Canyon Course Hole #8

Double Trouble

Can you come to Tucson and golf? Yes. Can you walk outside the resort and golf? Why, yes. Can you golf two days in a row and experience two different courses? You know it! Not only is Loews Ventana Canyon Resort known for its amazing golf, but we offer two 18-hole courses for guests to enjoy. The two courses, Mountain (6,902-yard par-72) and Canyon (6,836-yard par-72), are shared between Loews and the Lodge at Ventana Canyon and rotate availability for each course every other day. Call the Pro Shop to find out which course is available to Loews guests that day.

Designed Like a Champ

Our two courses, Mountain and Canyon, were designed by famed golf course architect Tom Fazio. What does this mean for golfers? These two courses were thoughtfully designed to blend into the Catalina Mountains’ natural features, weaving through Espero Canyon to create a fun and challenging environment even for experienced golfers, one that will bring them back time and again.

Mountain Course Hole #3

Photo-Worthy

Not only are the courses a worthy challenge, but to say they are beautiful is a serious understatement. In fact, Hole #3 on the Mountain Course is considered to be the most photographed hole west of the Mississippi. With elevated views, massive rock formations, and a position at the base of the Catalina Mountains, even I (a self-proclaimed terrible mini-golfer) can see why. But that’s not the only photo-worthy spot; Hole #18 of the Canyon Course brings you right back to the front of the resort — but on the other side of the giant pond and waterfall. And if timed right, you may walk away with a great score and an incredible Tucson sunset in the background!
