Loews Gives Back
Orlando

Have you ever been inspired to do something meaningful for another community while on vacation? It’s a concept that has gained momentum in the travel industry and been described as “voluntourism.”

While it can take many forms, it all starts with a passion to help others and a sincere desire to give back. At Loews Hotels, we call it being a good neighbor and you’ll be amazed at how easy, fun and inspiring it can be. This Thanksgiving weekend, we will again partner with Feeding Children Everywhere and our goal is to assemble 350,000 meals. Take a look at the fun and unforgettable experience one family had through volunteering at our event last year!

Feeding Children Everywhere is an organization that empowers and mobilizes people to assemble healthy meals for hungry children and families around the world. Last year, our guests, team members, their friends and families and the local community came together at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and Cabana Bay Beach Resort on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend to assemble 300,000 meals for hungry children in Central Florida. Isn’t that amazing?

This year, we are adding our all-new Loews Sapphire Falls Resort to the mix with a goal of 350,000 meals and with help from our community, we’re going to achieve it! In addition, 50,000 of those meals will be earmarked for shipment to Haiti to assist people in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. Our guests, team members and anyone in Central Florida during Thanksgiving weekend are invited to volunteer for one or multiple one-hour shifts at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Cabana Bay Beach Resort or Loews Sapphire Falls Resort on Saturday, November 26 between 9 am and 1 pm. You can sign up here.

We’re looking forward to this event once again and welcome you to come join us. Just think: 1 hour of your time can help us make 350,000 meals! It is a huge undertaking filled with great music, good fun and best of all, a volunteer experience like no other. I hope to see you there and best wishes for a happy holiday season!
