Amenities

Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel provides hospitality to guests’ pets through our Loews Love Pets program. Upon check in, pets get a water bowl, placemat and goodie bag of dig biscuit treats from Bark Avenue Bakery. Dog and cat beds, leashes and collars, rawhide bones, catnip, litter boxes and litter and pooper scoopers are among some of the additional items available. A brochure highlighting the “Loews Loves Pet” services is also available, with great information on local dog walking routes and area pet services.

Pets are included in every aspect of your Loews stay. There are even room service options for them – I hear the Bow Wow Tenderloin of Beef is popular!

Even if you’re here on business, we can help take care of your pet, with the help of one of our partners. Grace Borucki saw a need in business travelers who needed help caring for their dogs during the day. She now serves many of these travelers, including many Loews Santa Monica guests, through her business, Dog Sitters Extraordinaire, which matches your dog up with a personal assistant who cares for them throughout the day. They’ll even provide photo updates of what your dog has been up to.

Pet Friendly Activities in Santa Monica

Santa Monica has great walking areas where many of the stores and restaurants allow pets, including Third Street Promenade, Main Street and Montana Avenue, to name a few.

The Strand beach path, which runs along Santa Monica Beach, is another great place to take your dog for a walk, and chances are, he/she will meet some friends along the way. Santa Monica is also home to many off-leash dog parks.

And if your dog still needs to get energy out after that, send him/her for a hike with Colin’s Pack, a dog-hiking business in Santa Monica that is “focused on creating balanced dogs through leadership, exercise and socialization.”

Pet Services

In a city where people love their dogs and often treat them even better than they treat themselves, doggy day spas have become increasingly in demand.

At Santa Monica’s Rover Kennels, dog owners can treat their beloved pups to a range of spa treatments. Rover’s Ultimate 5 Star Pet Experience includes a Hot Oil Treatment, Full Body Blowout and Post Treatment Relaxation Lounge Session in the spa’s Presidential Suite.

Yes, in Santa Monica, the health and wellness theme extends to pets. Santa Monica’s Inhale Exhale Paws offers a Doga class and a new trend that is especially popular throughout the city is dog massage. Buddha Dog, a service that travels to your location in Los Angeles and offers multiple services, including Reiki, where the masseuse “channels healing energy through the hands, either directly or from a distance.”

For those who cherish time with their pets, it’s clear that next time you’re in Santa Monica, you don’t have to think twice about bringing your four-legged friend along!
